Chasing Tail

Peacock Unfurled ~ 2013

For the past week I have been on the lookout for our neighborly male peacocks, who are themselves on the lookout for that special little peahen that they can call their own. On an overcast afternoon, I came across this handsome beau who was unfortunately romancing a very unreceptive guinea hen. Not so great for the peacock but perfect for me to snap a couple photographs of his unfurled feathers and tail shaking antics.
